Indoor Tropical Trees and Indoor Tropical Plants for Resort Water Park

situation:

The Best Western Edgewater Resort & Water Park was looking to use artificial indoor tropical trees and plants for a 35,000 square foot water park that would make guests feel as though they were transported to a faraway tropical island, with an exploding volcano as the centerpiece and Polynesian-themed water adventures all around. Commercial Silk Int’l was contracted by the theme company to design, manufacture and install the indoor tropical themed plantscape.

initiatives:

Our project team began by reviewing the major interior elements of the water park design to determine which areas would have the largest benefit from the integration of indoor artificial tropical trees. After strategically locating the various planting areas, our team selected a pallet of tropical artificial foliage from our extensive line of fire retardant artificial foliage that combined the proper leaf sizes, shapes, textures and colors to achieve the desired theme.

results:

Commercial Silk Int’l created indoor pockets of lush tropical trees and plants to soften the rock-work on the large exploding volcano while making it more attractive to guests. An elongated planter was designed and installed for a balcony ledge complete with draping ivies and garlands. A colorful canopy of tropical plants, artificial vines and grasses , and bougainvillea was created for the trellis of an arbor. The entire project was completed on time, within budget and satisfied all fire code requirements.
