Faux Grass Brightens Residential Landscape

situation:

This double flat home in San Francisco resides on a busy street in which individuals would pass by and vandalize the bushes that were previously in place. The resident desired an outdoor landscape solution that was placed out of reach to prevent ongoing destruction to his property.

In determining this design solution, the problem of watering the out of reach plant location arose. Thus, outdoor artificial plants offered more than one benefit to this busy area.

initiatives:

The faux grass arrangement was an ideal solution. Not only because it not require routine plant maintenance such as trimming and watering, but it would offer consistent year round color, regardless of the weathering conditions.

results:

The resident was please with the ornamental grass colors as the burgundy and fall grasses matched the brick pavement. The faux grasses were placed on plant containers high enough to be out of reach to prevent future potential vandalism. Since outdoor artificial plants do not require maintenance, the resident can expect the faux grasses to appear vibrant and healthy for quite some time.
