situation:
The Grand Rios Indoor Water Park Hotel is an entertainment destination complete with a 45,000 square foot indoor water park, two signature restaurants, an arcade and a 224 room hotel. In the development phase of the project, the client was looking for a Company that could provide an interior plantscaping design / build for the hotel lobby and water park.
initiatives:
Commercial Silk International was contracted to complete the interior landscaping design of the hotel lobby as well as supply a selection of fire retardant foliage to create a tropical themed water park. As we prepared the design, we identified all the major considerations that needed to be addressed including fire codes, financial budgets, and desired theme.
results:
Commercial Silk International designed, manufactured and installed a tropical themed planter for the hotel lobby complete with preserved palm trees, artificial greenery and flowering artificial plants. The design included the use of artificial plants in combination with live plants. This combination helped to reduce the ongoing maintenance fees associated with live plants as well as helped enhance the realism of the artificial and preserved plants. In addition, we also supplied an entire pallet of fire retardant artificial plants for the water park that helped complete the tropical theme.
