A large hotel operator was undergoing major interior renovations in the atrium of two Radisson hotels and two Sheraton hotels. The client was looking for a vendor that could assist them with silk indoor plant recommendations and prospective upgrades to their interior plant programs. Commercial Silk Int’l, with its extensive experience in hotel and resort interior landscape design, was sourced for the project.
Commercial Silk Int’l began by meeting with the client to understand the budget and design expectations. Once the budget was established, Commercial Silk Int’l created an atrium design with large artificial trees that took into consideration the client’s design objectives, light levels and other environmental factors.
With minimal light availability in most areas, a relatively high degree of potential vandalism and the need for large specimen plants, it was a no-brainer that the Radisson and Sheraton hotels should utilize indoor silk plants and trees for their atriums. Due to the life-like look and feel of Commercial Silk Int’l silk plants and trees, there was no loss of perceived quality. In fact, the design upgraded the image of the hotels, increased the life of the plant materials and reduced the monthly operating expense for each hotel.
