Artificial Boxwood Used To Create Green Walls

situation:

Casa Conde, an international design firm that encompasses upscale design projects was hired by Pizza Fusion to construct the Miami franchised eco-friendly dine-in pizzeria.

Pizza Fusion, an organic and all natural pizzeria, sought out LEED Certification, which aligned with the company’s philosophy of high quality products and service with an environmental focus - from delivering their food in company owned hybrid vehicles to offsetting 100% of their power consumption with the purchase of renewable wind energy certificates.

Pizza Fusion Pizzerias began with the vision of pursuing sustainable practices. During the design process, Commercial Silk Int’l was contacted to provide Class A fire retardant artificial plants; specifically, our boxwood plants were needed to create a boxwood wall, a focal point at the bar, and the boxwood plants would emphasize the chain's natural concept, without adding the expense of ongoing costly plant maintenance.

Commercial Silk Int’l successfully provided the client our affordable boxwood wall. Our artificial plants were the only plant solution that met the fire retardant criteria of all the artificial plant manufacturers that Casa Conde researched.

Commercial Silk Int’l helped the owners of Pizza Fusion to reach their goals of energy, water, and expense reductions by providing the artificial boxwood. Our artificial plants require minimal maintenance and are sold as a one time fee, thus reducing ongoing costs associated with live plant care. In addition to these reductions, the boxwood paneled wall provided a comfortable work and dining environment, which encouraging employee productivity and the pizzaria customers to stay.
