“What used to be an industrial-looking movie theater in downtown San Jose has been reborn as a shining, tree-filled restaurant. The 4,000-square-foot Eos & Nyx opened in November with a two-story dining room connected by a dramatic, jet-black staircase. The Mediterranean resturant, designed by Basile Studios in San Diego, is the latest project from MO Hospitality Group, which runs popular San Jose bars including Paper Plane and Alter Ego. The space may be the most striking at night, when the diners inside and passersby on the street can watch an illuminated rotating carousel stocked with liquor bottles move between bars on each floor.” – Elena Kadvany
