Outdoor Artificial Foliage Grass at 700 South Strand

Projects

Nature is a beautiful force, but it can also be cruel and uncompromising, as this stretch of luxury beach-side homes discovered. The development owners were frustrated with the cost of maintenance and constant plant replacements, as the relentless ocean wind and saltwater ravaged their grass displays again and again. Plantscape was contracted to make a permanent change, replacing their dying and salt-ridden live grasses with permanent artificial exterior foliage that could stand up to sea spray, UV rays, and everything in between.

Biophilic Interior Design at Bass Pro Shops

Projects

Plantscape was contracted by a Florida outdoor retail company to make foliage for their in-store display, which was intended to share the company story and provide a compelling and memorable consumer experience. Our team took careful direction from the client to meet their aesthetic expectations and made use of custom manufacturing to create innovative tree designs that could be efficiently deconstructed for shipping and rebuilding. This massive project was completed within budget, and in time for the store’s grand opening.

Centerpoint Marketing

Trade shows come and go, but the impressions last forever. Plantscape was tasked with constructing highly mobile, highly impressive trees that could be shipped and arrive within stringent time frames. With all the convention equipment coming and going through loading docks, it was important that these displays arrived on time and could be transported and set up efficiently. In the end, the highly memorable displays served as an incredible unexpected landmarks and resting areas, without obstructing views at eye level.

The Mondrian South Beach

Projects

This luxurious South Beach poolside was in need of a little shade and privacy, and wanted to achieve both of those goals using a unique approach. Plantscape’s silk boxwood mats were used on these 12 foot tall arced cabanas by bending the flexible mats around the curvature of the existing metal frame. This layered structure created a thick mesh of foliage that provides plenty of shade in the daytime hours, and a comfortable level of privacy for guests looking to relax.

Klein Bank

Projects

This bank lobby was in dire need of renovation that would introduce a layer of intrigue and inspiration. Large, open halls with high ceilings often feel hollow and under-utilized, and for that reason we wanted to include tall trees to fill in the overhead space. We were also able to make use of existing features to build a unique, contextual installation in the entryway that honors the original intention of the space.

Minneapolis Convention Center

Projects

The Minneapolis Convention Center hosted live trees in its corridors for years, but over time the trees had become unsightly and constantly created debris that needed to be cleaned. During a recent renovation, they took to opportunity to replace these trees with exceptionally durable, low maintenance artificial Red Oak trees. The trees were designed to be “mischief-proof” and were specifically engineered to support a full grown man hanging from the branches without tipping.

Crossroads Center

Projects

Plantscape doesn’t make a habit of backing down from tall orders. While we’re happy to serve small installations, we thrive within projects that show of the potential of our trees, like these towering 18 foot tall birch trees in a mall food court. Working on this scale allows you to divide and re-shape the entire environment into a more intimate, controlled space while introducing character on a grand scale.

Four Seasons Hotel

Projects

This graceful and charming hotel dining area was a product of vision and expertise created in our collaborative process. These trees were assembled simultaneously to create a carefully handcrafted canopy suited to a five star hotel, each sitting on a rotatable base that allows the hotel to adjust their display as they see fit. Our crew was able to complete the installation overnight, resulting in an incredible display with minimal interruption.

Vin de Syrah

This hip and unique underground bar contracted plantscape to help create an “Alice in Wonderland” appeal. Using square silk boxwood panels, the owner was able to easily attach vibrant and thematic greenery anywhere they wanted it within the facility. The aesthetic fit right in with the eclectic and sometimes psychedelic decor, and an immersive thematic environment came together without issue.

When we’re entrusted to transform a space, in this case an office building atrium, we are extremely careful to respect the original character established by the people there. This method of thinking led us to carefully choose the birch and maple trees that now reside here, as they emphasize the height of the room while still allowing the massive fireplace to remain the undisputed focal point.

Outdoor Artificial Flowers and Foliage at Arizona Estate

The true nature of elegance lies in simplicity. This outdoor pool area needed to beautify their pool area, as live plants are costly and difficult to maintain in the local climate. Artificial foliage became the simple and elegant answer, providing a splash of color in vibrant contrast to the baked-earth palette typical of the area. The foliage used here is also UV resistant, so the colors have protection from fading under the constant glare of the sun.

Decorative Cedar Logs for AVIA Woodlands Hotel Lobby

There’s a familiar grace and beauty to wood that simply cannot be matched. This luxury hotel in Houston, Texas wanted to capture a rustic and warm natural appeal while maintaining the grandeur of the surrounding fixtures and decor. We used real Red Cedar logs, carefully manicured by our production team to be as straight and blemish-free as possible without ruining their natural beauty. These logs were then installed surrounding the grand staircase and front desk, providing a comfortable yet lavish experience, and the subtle, heavenly aroma of cedar.

Heartland Medical Plaza

The waiting room of this medical facility was having trouble keeping its live plants in a healthy and inspiring condition. Plantscape to the rescue. We were able to utilize the existing features to replace the under-performing live plants with silk foliage that stays vibrant and healthy-looking, with a drastic reduction in maintenance costs. These lush grasses also helped to provide additional delineation between the waiting area and other parts of the lobby, granting an unforeseen utility that everyone was happy about.

Polaris

This corporate office is home to a large Midwest recreational vehicle company, and they wanted their offices to reflect their outdoorsy spirit. Aspen and Paper Birch trees perfectly suited the north woods vibe they were looking for, and the installation was specifically built to guide visitor foot traffic to the places they were encouraged to see, ending in a massive faux rock and foliage display of their vehicles parked right on top.

Key Lime Cove Water Park

Much of what we do here at Plantscape goes far beyond building unique, lifelike trees and foliage. Our landscape architects and graphic designers work together constantly to create functional installations that are not only beautiful, but help to divide attractions, mask ugly spaces, direct foot traffic, and reduce atmospheric noise, all in a composition that amounts to a memorable experience. That potential was realized in the Key Lime Cove waterpark, where our team put forth great effort to craft a meticulous environment filled with purpose and charm.

Step into the frontier of your imagination, and envision a landscape of grasses and sprawling plains, clutches of hardy trees and rugged foliage blanketing forest ground. It was through this knowledge and skillset that we helped to create the Minnesota State Fair Wildlife exhibit, featuring trees and foliage near and dear to our hearts as Minnesota natives.

Eden Prairie Center

This upscale shopping center wanted to add a fresh presence to their facility that could match the beauty and class of the existing space. Plantscape answered the call with the stately grandeur of Black Olive trees, each twenty feet tall standing proudly between the handsome columns of the food court. On the lower layers, we included a blend of live plants that create a greater sense of authenticity and richness that completes the space.

Exotic Artificial Foliage for Adventure Aquarium

It is our constant challenge to create artificial greenery that really sells the aesthetic of their live plant counterparts. That ability is put to the test when we’re tasked with creating scenes that are supposed to look completely wild, as undisturbed nature. This New Jersey Aquarium required a massive variety of artificial plants and foliage to replicate the graceful randomness of nature, the confluence of which creating a pristine glimpse of wilderness.

Cuyuna Regional Medical Center

Projects

This medical facility had contracted Plantscape in the past to install birch trees and logs throughout the building, and were delighted to call us again to furnish another wing of their facility with lifelike artificial trees. Custom planter beds were installed in preparation, and in order to guarantee peace of mind, we provided digitally rendered images of the project so that everyone could feel good about approve each area design. The project finished well under-budget and fulfilled every client expectation, resulting in a great continued relationship.
